Album comprised primarily of 3 x 5 inch black and white photographs with hand-lettered captions divided into two sections. The first section, entitled: "To Mr. Henry Ford: Picture story of the visit of President Getulioi," documents the visit of the president of Brazil, Getulioi Vargas, to Belterra on October 8, 1940. Photographs capture his arrival by air; reception ceremonies; inspections and tour of the plantation offices, hospital, and schools; and speaker events. A copy of the program for the dinner honoring the president is pasted onto the inside front cover. The second section of the album is comprised of plantation views and activities at both Belterra and Fordlandia documenting the clearing and burning of the land; recreational activities such as golf, tennis, football and dancing; Brazil Independence Day ceremonies; and various buildings including water towers, powerhouses and employee housing, There are several images of the first American man and woman married on the plantations on September 14, 1940, but their names are not listed. According to a sticker on the hand-lettered title page, the album was sent to Henry Ford by H. C. Deckard of the Ford Motor Company in December of 1940. A ribbon and medallion engraved with "Estados Unidas Do Brazil, 15 Novembro 1889" decorates the cover.
